Katharine McPhee has been all over NBC this week!

On Thursday, she guest-starred on Community, and is fine in her role, playing the long-lost step-daughter of Chevy Chase, and  love interest of  Joel McHale.

Katharine McPhee presents an award for “Outstanding Meltdown” with Joel McHale on the E! Network’s Soup Awards. Oh. Ha. Trashy afternoon talk shows for the win!

Katharine guest-starred on Joel’s NBC sitcom, Community, as Chevy Chase’s step-daughter. Apparently the part called for kissing Joel…a lot. You can check out that deal for realz when Katharine’s episode of Community airs on March 11, 8/7c on NBC.

Katharine McPhee is shooting her first TV pilot for NBC:

“American Idol” alumna-turned-actress Katharine McPhee is making her TV pilot debut with a lead role in NBC’s comedy “The Pink House.”

The project centers on Midwesterners John “Fitz” Fitzgerald and Rob “Bernie” Burnett who move to L.A. and rent a house right on the beach, determined to find jobs they actually love and make the most of their twenties.

McPhee will play Emily, a down-to-earth Midwest girl new to Manhattan Beach who lives in an apartment behind the guy’s house and works as a pharmaceutical rep.

Katharine’s playing a pharma girl! Ha ha.

Of course, shooting a pilot is just the start. It has to be picked up by the network next. Of course, NBC’s schedule is pretty empty these days with the cancellation of the Jay Leno Show, so you never know…

Katharine’s guest stars on the NBC show, Community airing March 4. Her movie,  You May Not Kiss The Bride, is currently in post-production.

Katharine McPhee sang the Kara Dioguardi-penned tune, “Terrified” from her album Broken on the the Bonnie Hunt Show today.

“Terrified” got a lift when American Idol 9 contestant, Didi Benami sang the tune, beautifully, during Hollywood week.

Katharine McPhee dropped by to say hello to the ladies of The View on Friday, and while she was there, she performed “Say Goodbye” off her new album Unbroken. Check it out.

The world premiere of the ‘We Are The World 25 For Haiti’ video aired during NBC’s coverage of the Opening Ceremony of the Vancouver Winter Olympics tonight.

Jennifer Hudson, Jordin Sparks, Katharine McPhee and Randy Jackson took part in the recording, and Idol music director, Rickey Minor was a co-producer.

Jennifer got several major solos (sads she was forced to sing with the Bieber, but whatcha gonna do)

Proceeds of the video goes to the ongoing post-earthquake relief efforts for Haiti. For more information on how to donate, check out this LINK.

2nd Update: I just saw the entire list of participants, and Carrie was not on the list. Jordin Sparks, Katharine McPhee and Randy Jackson were all on the list.

UPDATE:  CNN removed Carrie Underwood’s name from their report (It’s still in the sidebar) and other outlets do not have her on their lists, so I would say, at this point, her involvement it NOT confirmed.

The recording session for the remake of “We Are the World” is happening in Los Angeles tonight (Feb 1), and you can add Jordin Sparks and Carrie Underwood to the list of stars set to participate in the re-recording of the Michael Jackson classic for Haiti relief.

Jennifer Hudson and Katharine McPhee were previously confirmed for the event. Idol judge, Randy Jackson is also involved.

“We Are the World” is produced by Quincy Jones who also helmed the original back in 1985 with Michael Jackson. Idol music director, Rickey Minor is directing the remake, so I would not be surprised if there were even more Idols amongst the 100+ stars tapped for the single.

Jordin tweeted, “Being apart of the We Are The World remake is such an honor. So much talent together for a great cause. I will never forget tonight. <3″

Some of the big names involved in the effort: Barbra Streisand, Pink, Miley Cyrus, The Jonas Brothers, Fergie, Brian Wilson, Akon, wil.i.am, Tony Bennett, Rob Thomas, Jeff Bridges, Heart and more.

Katharine McPhee is interviewed by Chelsea Handler on the E channel’s Chelsea Lately. Funniest moment? Chelsea says Simon should go f*ck himself. Lolz.

Kat’s got to be sick of the questions about her hair after 9 months of being a blond. I gotta say…kudos to Kat’s management, she’s had a ton of TV appearances in the last couple of weeks, to promote her album, Unbroken.

After the jump, check out Katharine McPhee performing Lionel Richie’s “You Are the Sun, You Are the Rain” on the United Negro College Fund’s An Evening of Stars, broadcast on BET last night.

Lionel received the UNCF’s Award of Excellence, while Katharine, Smokey Robinson, Stevie Wonder, Akon, Ledesi and others sang Lionel’s best loved songs.

Katharine handles the song ably, but I’m not gonna lie, the tune is not one of my favorite Lionel Richie songs (dopiest lyrics evah, peeps)

Update:  Allison Iraheta will drop by 102.7 KIIS FM w/ Jojo on the radio Tuesday night 7-10pm PT. Plus, Allison has been added to the 93.3 FLZ Meet Ball, at the Venue in Clearwater, FL on February 13.  Kris Allen is already booked for the gig…

This week’s Idol Appearances include a busy day in Toronto for Adam Lambert Monday, plus, the Ellen DeGeneres birthday show, featuring Adam performing “Strut” on Tuesday.

Katharine McPhee appears on Chelsea Lately and fellow Season 5 contestant, Ayla Brown (and daughter of new US Senator Scott Brown) performs on the CBS Early show on Tuesday to promote her new album.

Brooke White is a judge on the Miss America pageant, airing on TBS, and Matt Giraud debuts his new single in a Grand Rapids concert,  Saturday night.

And, on Sunday, it’s the Grammy Awards featuring Carrie Underwood and Jennifer Hudson participating in a tribute to Michael Jackson, and Adam Lambert on the red carpet for Entertainment Tonight.  Carrie, Kelly Clarkson, Mandisa, Ruben Studdard and Trenyce are nominated for awards.

Don’t forget:  Wednesday’s American Idol in Dallas featuring Joe Jonas and Neil Patrick Harris has been moved back to 8/7c pm to accommodate President Obama’s State of the Union address.

The Los Angeles auditions  featuring Avril Lavign and Katy Perry will begin at 8/7c  pm as scheduled on Tuesday.  Both shows are an hour long.  Check out the schedule HERE.

Today’s NFC and AFC Champion football games will both begin with National Anthem performances from Idol winners.

At 3 pm ET, Season 6 Idol,  Jordin Sparks win sing the Anthem in Indianapolis before the Colts vs. NY Jets AFC championship on CBS.

And at 6:30 ET in New Orleans, the latest winner, Kris Allen, will sing the NA before the Saints vs. Minnesota Vikings NFC championship game on FOX.

Katharine McPhee stopped by Good Day LA today to talk about her new album Unbroken, her empowering bikini-clad Self magazine cover, her guest appearance as Chevy Chase’s daughter in the NBC comedy, Community and tonight’s Hope for Haiti telethon, where she’s set to answer phones with David Archuleta and a slew of other celebrities.

Jennifer Hudson will also appear on the telethon. She’s singing the Beatles’  “Let it Be”.

Katharine Mcphee played a mini-concert at the San Diego Chargers official Tailgate before the game Sunday (Jan. 17). After she sang the National Anthem before the Chargers and the New York Jets took the field to play for the AFC Charmpionship (The Jets won!)
