Kellie Pickler had several laugh-out-loud moments on the Ellen Degeneres Show today.   Kellie knows how to tell a story, and her tales about her grandpa, speeding and demonic possession (seriously) are hilarious.

Adam Lambert and Kris Allen continue to trade the Top Spot on the VH1 Top 20 countdown.

This week, Adam Lambert’s “Whataya Want From Me” comes in at #1, up from #2 last week. Kris Allen’s “Live Like We’re Dying” drops from #1 to #3. And, Daughtry’s “Life After You” slips from #4 to the #5 spot.

Today’s countdown marks a 5 week run of Idol #1s on the VH1 Top 20:

1/16 – Daughtry, “Life After You”
1/23 – Kris Allen, “Live Like We’re Dying”
1/30 – Adam Lambert, “Whataya Want From Me”
2/6 – Kris Allen – “Live Like We’re Dying”
2/13 – Adam Lambert – “Whataya Want From Me”

Vh1 isn’t the only music televion channel dominated by Idols. A few country-flavored Idols are holding down the top spots on GAC TV.

Carrie Underwood’s “Cowboy Casanova” video takes the #1 spot this week, followed by the debut of her heart-stirring “Temporary Home” vid at #2. Danny Gokey debuts at #3 with “My Best Days Are Ahead of Me” and Kellie Pickler rounds out the Top 4 with “Didn’t You Know How Much I Loved You.”

Danny is also #1 in the CMT Pure top 12 countdown this week.

UPDATE: Adam Lambert band memeber, Longineu Parsons (@longinue), reports the band will perform two songs on Oprah. The taping is set for this Wednesday, January 13. Adam’s segment will air on Oprah, Tuesday January 19.

David Archuleta (@davidarchie) is on his way to Central America to do some work for charity:

“Hey guys, tomorrow I’m heading out to Central America for the week for some charity work, and don’t know how my phone service will be while I’m there. Jason Castro (@jasoncastro) is back from his his honeymoon. He married girlfriend Mandy Mayhall on January 2:

Jason heads out on tour with Matt Hines beginning January 20th in Jacksonville, FL. His debut self-titled album drops early this year. The Love Uncompromised EP drops Tuesday, January 12.

David Cook (@thedavidcook) is back from a week of songwriting with producer/songwriter Brian Howes in Vancouver, British Columbia:

“Finishing up here in Vancouver. Great week, but ready to get back to the states! Eerie: came in on same gate and grabbed luggage from same turnstyle as in Come Back To Me vid!”

Got your CMA 2009 Videos here!

Carrie Underwood may have lost the Female Vocalist of the Year to Taylor Swift at the CMA 2009 Awards tonight, but when Carrie took the stage to sing “Cowboy Casanova” she showed young Taylor exactly how it’s done.

Plus Chris Daughtry and his band joined Vince Gill on the CMA stage to perform a lovely “Tennessee Line”. And, I’ve got Carrie and Brad Paisley’s opening monologue and the newly red-headed Kellie Pickler presenting the CMA award for Song of the Year to Jamey Johnson

TAYLOR SWIFT take Female Vocalist of the Year! Carrie Underwood–shut out this year! Taylor thanks peeps for not running up on stage. Ha ha.   Moving units wins awards, peeps.   Earlier in the evening, Fearless took Album of the Year.

Taylor Swift also wins Entertainer of the Year. This is why I didn’t feel bad for her after the Kanye flap.   Taylor is crying, and she brings her band up on stage. Great big group hug!

Kellie Pickler and Carrie Underwood pose backstage with   Dolly Parton at Dolly’s “Live From London” DVD premiere party at the Tracking Room last night (Nov. 9) in Nashville, Tennessee.

The stars were out to celebrate Dolly’s new DVD, including Wynona Judd and George Jones.

Everybody is in town, gearing up for the big CMA awards Wednesday night (Nov. 11) set to air on ABC and hosted by Carrie and Brad Paisley.

Carrie will co-host and perform, Kellie will present and Daughtry (!) will perform “Tennessee Line” with Vince Gill…

The Extreme Makeover: Home Edition episode Kellie Pickler filmed was aired on ABC tonight.   Kellie helped Ty Pennington and his crew build an accessible home for the Terpenning family of Beavercreek, OH.

In the first of two clips posted after the jump, Kellie helps bust up the Terpenning home to make way for construction of their new digs. In the second clip, she performs for the crew and plays wheelchair basketball.

The young blond boy with Kellie is her little brother…

I wonder how the familty will afford the upkeep on a bigger home once the crews go home?   Several   of these Extreme Makeover homes have gone into foreclosure in the past few years…

David Cook recently filmed an episode of the show.   His appearance on Extreme Makeover: Home Edition will air sometime in winter/spring 201o.

Carrie Underwood and Kellie Pickler attended last night’s ACM Honors Ceremony in Nashville, to celebrate some of the legends in country music.

Kellie dueted with Jamey Johnson on Kenny Rogers and Dottie West’s ‘Every Time Two Fools Collide.” Carrie wrapped up the evening singing the Randy Travis song, “I Told You So”.

ABC’s Good Morning America will Air the CMA Awards Nominations Live From New York City on Wednesday, Sept. 9.   Keep on the lookout for noms for Carrie Underwood, Kellie Pickler and Chris Sligh.   Carrie will co-host The 43rd Annual CMA Awards with Brad Paisley. The show airs live Nov. 11 on ABC at 8/7c pm. via press release.

Speaking of Carrie Underwood, she’ll be helping the Grand Ole Opry stage turn pink in honor of breast cancer awareness during two shows on Oct. 2. In addition to performing, Carrie will flip the switch to turn the Opry’s signature backdrop pink in support of the groups Women Rock for the Cure and Susan G. Komen for the Cure. via CMT.

Did you know there were Carrie Underwood “tribute” artists?   Well there are.   Carrie really has arrived! Heh.

MTV crews were filming the Kelly Clarkson concert at the New York State fair last night for the documentary, Get Schooled: You Have the Right airing on a slew of Viacom stations on September 8. Tonight, Kelly will sing “God Bless America” at Fenway Park in Boston to highlight the Jimmy Fund radio telethon broadcasting from the park. via CBS 6 and Boston Globe.

Season 5 Idol, Ace Young will once again co-host the Jerry Lewis MDA Telethon, airing over the Labor Day weekend, September 6 and 7. Ace’s time slots are Sunday night/Monday morning from 10-12 am PT and 2-4 am PT. He’ll perform during his first slot. Bo Bice is also set to perform. via Theater Mania.

Blake Lewis will headline the Atlanta Pride Festival on November 1.   He’s set to perform on the Coca-Cola stage at 5:50 pm. via sovo.

Kellie Picker talks to the Today show’s Kathy Lee and Hoda about touring with Taylor Swift, her Top country 10 hit, “Best Days of Your Life” and her charity effort, “Soles for Souls” in conjunction with Ladies Home Journal. Peeps will have the opportunity to donate new or gently worn shoes at Madison Square Garden tomorrow night where Kellie and Taylor will be performing.
