Ha ha ha. The retro look is for a Guitar Hero “Rockumentary” that will be part of a Guitar Hero interactive display that will be featured at American Idols Live concerts across the country. From the press release:
The 10 “Idol” tour finalists will be part of a halftime Guitar Hero World Tour rockumentary, created by advertising agency DDB, that blends the camaraderie of hanging out in the studio with the franchise’s latest transformation of music gaming - a slick newly redesigned guitar, a genuine electronic drum kit and a microphone. In each city, expert shredders will also face-off on center stage, and Guitar Hero: Aerosmith and Guitar Hero: On Tour will be available for everyone to play in a booth throughout the tour.

I think Jason’s in a tank top. I used to have a jumpsuit just like Syesha’s, only different colors.

I dressed my husband in sixties clothes for Halloween once, and we borrowed this hideous left-over-from-the-sixties shirt from my brother-in-law that looked very much like the one Cook has on. If Cook’s has the Seven Dwarfs running through the forest on his shirt, it is the EXACT one. Too funny. I don’t remember anybody with dreads then, but I definitely remember halter tops. We made our own with bandanas. I can’t remember if it took two bandanas or three. Or maybe one?
But we wore lower-waisted pants (hip-huggers, they were called) so we had more skin showing than Kristy Lee. I remember these baby-aspirin orange corduroy bell bottoms I wore with a short purple and orange top — it was my favorite outfit!
They need some peace medals, a fringed jacket or two, some very short shorts, huge hoop earrings, and somebody with long, straight hair parted down the middle. And maybe a little strip of leather tied around somebody’s forehead.
I’d love to see all of them better. Both Davids look scary, lol. I don’t remember looking that bad in the 70s.

It looks to me as though MJ isn’t wearing bell bottoms. Maybe that is why he is hiding in the back?
