This Week’s Glee Music, from “The Wheel”

Check out the music from this week’s episode of Glee! Kurt (Chris Colfer) performing “Defying Gravity” is a revelation.   Mercedes (Amber Riley)   lets it rip on “Proud Mary” Plus, Artie (Kevin McHale) is both charming and vulnerable as he croons “Dancing with Myself.”

The kids raise money to provide handicapped accessible transportation to allow Glee to travel together to regionals, while Mr. Shue challenges the kids to see the world from Artie’s point of view. Plus, Kurt and Rachel face each other in a sing off. And, a softer side of Sue Sylvester will appear.

Wow. Kurt sounds amazing. I can’t wait to see him sing it on the show.

i cannot wait to see Proud Mary!! i’m so excited, thank goodness we’Re 11/11, i don’t think i could have lasted one more glee-less week. They sound fantastic, Jenna singing.. yay!

Rachel has more power, which the song needs, but I still like Kurt’s version. I think I just like Chris Colfer more than Lea Michelle. I don’t dislike her, I just like him more.

Love Artie’s song. Not feeling Proud Mary. First time they’ve sounded karaoke for me. I bet the number will look really cool.

I’m definitely a Chris Colfer fan. His version of ‘Defying Gravity’ really touches me. What a range that young man has! Another possible counter-tenor. Not at all usual. I was surprised when I first heard Adam Lambert sing. Counter-tenors are quite rare, vocally speaking. I can’t really tell if this is Colfer’s head voice, or falsetto – so I don’t know what his true range is. The tone is fantastic, though – very rich and full. Even w/o Glee, I’d say he has a fantastic career ahead.

And hooray for the focus on Kevin McHale! I was wondering when we’d learn more about Artie. Lovely voice, good actor. Now if they throw in some classic Sue Sylvester ‘“ I’d be one happy camper!

Chris has the sweet pure voice of an Angel!

Has his voice not “changed” yet?
