- Daughtry performs an Elvis tune on the ABC TV special, “Elvis: Viva Las Vegas”, Tuesday, September 18, 9-11 pm
- Also on Tuesday, Elliott Yamin appears on the ABC Family channel show Lincoln Heights.
- On Wednesday, September 19, Reba McEntire and Kelly Clarkson appear on the Oprah Winfrey Show to sing ”Because of You” from Reba’s new album.

Jon Peter Lewis continues his run as Jesus in the Redlands Civic Light Opera production of Godspell in Redlands CA. The show closes next Sunday.

The Idols Hit The Road
County and state fairs love the Idols–Kellie Pickler, Bucky Covington and Josh Gracin are all performing at Fairs this week. Daughtry travels overseas to perform in Singapore.
Sunday
- Vonzell Soloman performs at the National Cattle Congress Expo in Waterloo, IA. 3 pm. McElroy Auditorium. Cows!
- Bucky Covington performs in Covington, VA at the Jackson Rivers Sports Complex.
- Kellie Pickler’s tour takes her to the New Mexico State Fair in Albuquerque, NM.
Tuesday
- Carmen Rasmusen performs the National Anthem at Hill Air Force Base in Layton, UT before the Armed Forces Softball Championship.
Wednesday
- Josh Gracin performs at the Ashland County Fair in Ashland, OH
Thursday
- Paris Bennett appears at the Minneapolis Women’s Club in Minneapolis, MN.
- Chris Daughtry and his band travel all the way to Singapore to play the Powerhouse at St. James Powerstation.
Friday
- Bucky Covington performs at the Edenton Fairgrounds in Edenton, NC.
- Josh Gracin plays at Inlet Beach in Ocean City, MD.
Saturday
- Bucky Covington performs at the Blackgold Festival in Hazard, KY.
- Josh Gracin performs at the Bloomsburg Fair in Bloomsburg, PA
- Kellie Pickler heads to the Warren Civic Center in Warren, MI.

Does anybody know - do these county fairs pay money? I mean, the Idols are doing a lot of them, but they sound like it’s just a quick payday and nothing really “big”? Know what I mean. But I guess if you want to be in show business, you take whatever you can; right?
BTW, Leona Lewis is being streamed on Perez — how did he get the CD before anybody else? Anyway, she sounds like so many others…her voice is good, but she’s another Mariah-Celine, in my opinion. And the song is pretty good. We shall see if she makes it in America….she’ll probably be paraded on all the talk shows.

I personally think fairs and festivals are good gigs. I have no clue what they pay but there is a great deal of traffic at lots of them and it gets their music out there.

My girlfriend was really excited to Elliot on Lincoln Heights, it’s a show her and I watch and that was her favorite contestant that season. It was pretty cool.
