According to calculations by The Hollywood Reporter, Carrie Underwood is now officially American Idol’s top earner, surpassing season 1 winner Kelly Clarkson.
Carrie, explains THR, has spent much of the last two years on the road. But while Kelly’s international presence is stronger, she’s spent much of 2010 and 2011 working on her upcoming album. Carrie has also earned additional revenue from her movie and TV work.
