Everybody looks "too pretty". Like they just walked out of a modeling agency, ready for their closeup. I like the "odd" lookers like Melinda and Fantasia. They don't fit the "pretty person" look. We shall see what happens with this season. These folk may be very amateurish. But it seems a bit unfair to have agents & record companies that are trying to recoup their investment by pushing them onto AI. Also, nobody answered my question: Did they stand in the rain, sleet and snow to get an audition? Or were they let in teh backdoor? Blame it on myspace. Everybody looks “too pretty”. There are far too many plants this year. I really hope there's a true undiscovered gem out there that I can get behind. Just scrolling through the pics, it looks like they're all already professionals. If this season is as bad for me as last, I'm done with Idol.
