LOL. I love it Cook and Brooke! HAve to say watching that first video clip is hard on the eyes cause of Carly’s hair/bandana do but it was good.
haha, Cook was hilarious as the end of the second video! xD
why isn’t dcook my boyfriend? honestly. :(
he is TMTH.
Cosmo? Oh, Cookie. Don’t admit that (though I secretly love you for it. :)).
I love David Cook.
Here’s to hoping my husband doesn’t read this. Ha!
I really loved that Ford music video. It was fierce. Looks like they had a little bit of fun making it. That’s cool.
I think it’s odd Archie is so ticklish. ?? Strange.
What did Cook mouth about he and Brooke’s superhero names? I don’t read lips well. :D
@GwendolynD - “No it isn’t, it’s terrible!” That’s what I got from it.
yeah, i got the same thing, CJ.
LOL, Cookie!
I guess Jason was the only one with nothing to say about Paula and Simon.
I don’t think I’m as bothered by the fact that DC reads Cosmo occasionaly, its the fact that he fires off the names of about 6 other womens magazines with ease….EEK!! Thank the lord he didn’t add Knitters Monthly, Parenting, or Romance readers weekly. And where the hell is he hanging out that these are the only reading options the guy has….the OB/GYN’s office??
I love Jason but the idea of him driving at all let alone driving fast is a little scary. I really hope he’s more aware of what’s going on than he appears to be. He needs a car that has 50 airbags that pop out from all sides. LOL.
For some strange reason I think I like David Cook even more now that he can admit to reading womens magazines so he can find out more about what women want
When I used to work in a public library, we had a “womanizer” security guard who was all into the women’s mags. He freely admitted his strategy. I don’t think it’s uncommon. LOL.
Cosmo makes all girls seem..erm.. let’s go with promiscuous. Harpers Bazaar though? Now that made me laugh.
Are there crossword puzzles in these magazines? LOL!
I haven’t read the comments yet, but David Cook looks like Steven Baldwin in that pic!
These people scare me.
swoooooooon david cook is sooooo hot :)
Cook’s so smart. (Yea and friggin’ hot) I think his matter-of-fact interview style is pretty funny - some might think it’s a smug attitude — but I think that’s just him. Maybe playing the interviewer a bit… ?
Oh yea, did I mention that he’s friggin’ hot?
I think Cookie might be a PLAYAH!!! That’s perfectly fine, though.
David Cook reads Cosmo to see what women want? Ummm, here’s a newsflash: The contents of Cosmo - and the majority of women’s magazines for that matter - bears little resemblance to most women’s lives. But hey, it’s great that he’ll have a grasp of what a Madison Avenue- manufactured concept of a woman wants. That’ll come in handy with the D list celebrity babes he seems to be into.
I still crack up whenever I hear Paula critique about pitch problems. She was a big hit back in the day, but not exactly a great singer!!! Love her though.
Heh. I guess it’s like someone once told me: “I can’t cook worth a crap, but I sure can tell when your cooking’s no good.”
Never fear. The thrill-seeker in Jason noticed that there were some racetracks in California, and he’d like to try racing, as there are not any racetracks in Texas.
I think that means he would not race around on regular roads. You are safe after all.
Cook is smart enough to know how to play these interviews/say the things that women might want to hear. Funny that “weird hair guy” is considered so hot now compared to a few months back…
That’s what I was thinking! He’s no dummy. As for his hair…it never bothered me…but I do think the subtle improvements to his hair have increased the hotness factor. I always thought he was a cutie, big head and all.
As a word nerd m’self…I know I’ll read anything if I’m bored enough, including Road and Track. It is not my strategy, however, to read those things so I can know what men want. rofl Cookie is slick. And he’s got a great sense of humor, evidently.
Re: DCook and women’s magazines- my husband has openly admitted to doing this also. If DCook has a lot of female friends, he’s probably picked them up on their coffee table or whatever. I think he’s poking fun at himself, and I find the self-effacing humor adorable.
I love David Cook, and I think he’s all kinds of talented. But alas, I still find him kind of weird looking and I would never refer to him as “hot”. The old look to me, wasn’t so much “weird” as it was “dorky”. The new look is most definitely more manly and grown up. And, I think it’s helped people to see the sophistication in his music. It’s a huge improvement, but I’m still not seeing this guy as all that good looking in general (hoping Sarah isn’t reading this). Of course, the looks thing really doesn’t come into play when I decide my musical preferences - I usually buy music long before I know what anyone looks like.
I was going to say that maybe his ex had a lot of magazines lying around, but that was one weird list that he rattled off: Harper’s Bazaar, Reader’s Digest, Oprah?!? o…kay.
I loved Brooke’s bit because who doesn’t love a good bargain? And I continue to wonder why they never air these commercials outside of Idol. They’re cute and fun, are great cross-promotion for Idol and Ford, and more entertaining than the average car commercial.
This is pretty dangerous….
Oh, Loh’!
Wow. A Cooktard breaks ranks to tell the truth. Post of the day!
Aww, Spenser, this Cooktard sees where you’re coming from. I think he’s sexy, if not conventionally good looking. I think it’s the talent, the voice, the personality, the whole package, that make him more attractive. But who knows, maybe I’ll look at him a year from now and cringe like I did the first time I saw him. (and like I do now when I see a picture of Taylor. Heh.)
I know Jason is supposed to be the prettiest thing ever, but he reminds me of a Jim Henson creation. http://thumbsnap.com/v/IAsgvgva.jpg
I still love Jason’s voice, will vote for him to beat Archie in the finale, and will buy his CD.
Whatever. I’m being honest when I say I find him good looking. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, no? We are all entitled to our opinion.
Is the sarcasm really necessary? Please don’t bait your fellow posters. There’s not going to be a Season 5 redux here.
Ahh, MJ. Sarcasm is used (unchallenged) around here all the time, but if my tone offends, let me rephrase.
David Cook is not attractive and it is not adorable that he reads magazines.
Sure it is. Sarcasm is fine, but not if it’s directed at your fellow posters. For instance, making assumptions about them (they all think with one mind. Not true actually) then thats not cool. It’s the kind of thing that upsets people and starts fan wars. I want to avoid that.
LOL Metta - I’m not an official cooktard yet. But, as soon as we lose Jason and my beloved Brooke, I’ll be joining the nation of Cookikstan.
cheese, you crack me up!
Cheese, I see the resemblence!
I still say Jason’s a cutie.
LOL My teenager said Jason looks like a muppet. She thinks it’s creepy.
I am not sure which muppet was supposed to look like Jason. I didn’t think any of them did.
Aw, muppets are cute.
Ahem. :)
I may be an official Cooktard, but Chris Rich is still my boyfriend. I do have the date pic, after all. ;)
Anyway, I did not think DCook was all that attractive at the beginning. I hated the fauxhawk, I hated the red hair dye. I even hated the new haircut at first (liking it better now). And no, he’s not conventionally attractive. But like cheese said, it’s something about the whole package - talent, look, personality, etc - that makes him sexy.
I agree with what you said about the gradual changes to his hair making him look more manly and grown up. That’s a great description. :)
I’d say he’s not conventially handsome but I think he’s cute. David C. I mean. I just don’t get Jason’s appeal as that hair gets old, he’s thin faced, has a pointy nose. He does have a nice smile. We all have our preferences and I definitely think DC is the guy who looks appeal to me. His hair is getting better all the time and he dresses pretty well and takes the judges remarks very well I guess it’s the total of the sums; talent, personality, looks and judgement.
Could I love David Cook more? I don’t think it’s humanly possible.
Oh, he gives me another reason to love him week after week. I said this same thing about 3 or 4 weeks back, but here I am, loving him even more. And I don’t suppose reading all those magazines got him anywhere with Lacey, did it? LOL.
Sarah, make room on that boat. I’m jumping in.
LOL Prom Date!!
Good - so you’re not mad at me then lol. And - I make no judgements about those of you who see his sex appeal. There are plenty of conventionally un-pretty people who, when they do that thing that they do so well, appear to me to be really hot.
I love his hair in the interview portion……..it looks very natural……..I think they’re putting too much product in it for the show.
David is not a pretty boy…….thank God. He’s a real man with amazing talent, and has a dry, self-deprecating wit……..that it seems some people seem to interpret the wrong way……..but you have to be able to understand irony.
I don´t know what you guys are seeing, but truly he is the sexiest guy ever on AI. He has charisma and when singing he looks deep into the camera without the Constantine shmooze but with the ability to hold your attention and make you want more. I am telling you David Cook is one special guy. With the sexy husky voice and the intelligent forehead, he really has it all.
