Tonight Jordin proved a force to be reckoned with!
jpfan, I love Jordin, she is adorable, sweet,has a brilliant smile and has a tremendous amount of poise for a 17 year old. But, there is Lakisha who is one of those rare talents that come around once in a blue moon.
Top 4 for me,still,Lakisha..Blake..Jordin..Melinda in that order.
I agree jpfan, one reason the season seems bland is because only a few stand out, the rest are fair at best, the snark amongst Ryan and the judges is just lame and most of the contestants haven’t shown much personality at all.
What was with Paula and the meltdown after Melinda sang, she needs hormone therapy in a major league way.
At the rate that this show is going, don’t be surprise if Sanjaya does make it into the top four. The guys all suck. Chris S was good but his song arrangement was bad. Blake and Chris R need to just be signed to a record company already and spare us the trouble of seeing them for the next 11 weeks. Brandon was, once again, forgettable and Phil is good when he is shouting..
The girls are making the guys look like amature singers. Melinda, Lakisha and Stephanie, I wish she had added the disco part to the song, were the best IMO. Jordin followed. With Halley and Gina brining up the rear..

I liked Melinda, Jordin, Gina, Chris S, and Lakisha tonight.
Preston………..I think you just proved a point about this season as to what almost everyone, even in the press and some bloggers, is saying. Season six is boring, and not enough difference and competition. I have Melinda picked to take it and top 12 has just started. Last year, even tho I loved Taylor from the start, I could see competition and other people who could have won. I have half an hour till AI is on here.
I am voting for Sanjaya. And I’m not just saying that. I’ve got 5 votes through so far.
I really hope Blake goes home. The theme was DIANA ROSS, not BLAKE LEWIS (or whatever other genere he immitates).
BTW, Melinda was AMAZING!
So far, DI says Phil is predicted to be SAFE, along with Melinda, Lakisha and Jordin. Everyone else potentially could be in danger of being voted off.
Things will change for all the guys, though - it’s still way early in the voting.
The only 2 guys I like are the ones no one else likes (except a few like Brandon - no one here likes Phil except me - but like I care since I’m not voting to keep anyone in. LOL)
I absolutely hated the Diana Ross theme night! I don’t like her songs at best of times but it’s even worse when they force the idols to sing them. I thought Lakisha was the best with the Billie Holiday song but enjoyed Blakes updated version of You keep my hanging on. His performance was good even if he didn’t have perfect vocals. Melinda and Jordin sounded good on very boring songs. The worst of the night for me were Brandon, Haley, and Sanjaya.
I would love for Blake to go home, too, Tony! Next Chris R and then Chris S.
And, ’sides, Haley’s so pretty she can do no wrong. We had one of those last year. :)
Bye, Brandon. At least I hope so. It was painful to watch him and even more painful to listen to him.
I hate for Brandon to leave, gabam. But I know he hasn’t done anything that has the WOW factor - just has a very nice voice - kept hoping he would throw it all out there, and he just hasn’t. Looking like he’s in the right place in the background.
I don’t care about Chris R but if Blake and Chris S went home, it would be incredibly boring. I love Melinda and Lakisha is also very good but at least Blake and Chris S are different and more current.
Haley was just okay as usual but hated her dress. I’d like to see Sanjaya go first but if not him than Haley would be good. I expect it will likely be Brandon.
Blake is currently second to last on Dial Idol, with Brandon at the bottom. Sanjaya is #5.

All the ones from Sanjaya down are too close to call. It may change when the west votes come in. I don’t expect Blake to go home because he’s quite popular.
I think i’m going to just start reading the recaps….boring…I don’t really care who wins or gets kicked off at this point…

I couldve watched another channel tonight and really not missed much. Other than Jordin and LaKisha, I was unimpressed. I didn’t like the songs nor the renditions. Whats up with simon and all the gigglies this year?
Tonight was really painful- I think next week I’m gonna double the alcohol and half the volume!
I liked Melinda tonight. Then Jordin,Gina, Lakisha and Chris Sligh .. in that order.
PS. Idol stylist, change Melinda’s hair and dress her younger. She looks way older then what she is and if she doesn’t get a little hipper, it might hurt her.

Yikes! ChriS is on the bottom of DI. Not good. I want Brandon or Sanjaya kicked off before him. I hope the decision to not wear glasses doesn’t hurt him…’cause ya know, people are shallow like that.

Well, it really doesn’t even matter what one’s real hair is like for Big & Sexy - *** wears so many extensions for fullness as well as length, and pic someone posted yesterday even had her in a short bowl-shaped jet black wig!
Yikes what a painful show to watch. First Dianna Ross rises from her crypt. Her face was fuller than when I saw her before , perhaps a little too much embalming fluid. Next tptb drag out a box of crappy songs and the contestants have to try to find one that will be least crappy. Man what a crapfest. The guys were at a terrible disadvantage tonight and it showed. The girls have nice voices but the crappiness of the songs is what really stood out tonight. The whole evening was one huge steaming pile.

You know, I posted the other day that I hoped the guys would all come out in drag for the Diana Ross group song on results night.
Now I’m hoping they all come out in BIG SEXY extentions and wigs and sing something from HAIR on one of the theme nights!

I can’t imagine why Phil does the shaved head thing, because it just isn’t a pretty sight. Maybe his hair is very thin and he’s balding - who knows, but it does accentuate how much his ears stick out. And Sligh’s is the gosh-awfullest ugliest mop I’ve ever seen (though Diana’s tonight was even bigger & uglier)

Ok I will admit Daughtry looks good bald, but Phil *shudders*. His head is so white it makes him look sickly, this is not a good look Phil, cover that head and your ears up. Hope someone does something with those wide freaking eyebrows of his too.
Lynnie it seems like Chris’ hair was kind of brown with less higlights …could have been the gel. lol I was in chat but it froze on me and AOL booted me…sigh.

Sanjaya must be having a blast on idol since the stylists get to make his hair all purty n stuff.
When Haley was singing all I could think about was how much she resembled Kat. I mean the hair and even the outfit seemed to be channeling Kat. Too bad Haley lacks the voice and Mctatas to be the next McPhee.
