Tweet Beat: Jim Cantiello Joins the Adam Lambert Army

Jim Cantiello’s take on Adam Lambert’s new single, “For Your Entertainment” is hilarious. But my favorite part of this week’s Tweet Beat from MTV?

David Archuleta reading his own tweets! Hee!

Check out tweet beat after the jump…

  • This was a riot. Jim is one of my fave idol land peeps.

  • That dude is hilarious.

Really? I interpreted that totally differently. I thought the red guitar represented women with their roundish bottoms and the other guitar represented men since it had the outspread legs, you know, like the signs on men’s bathrooms. He was demonstrating his ambivalent attraction toward men and women, since he’s married to a woman but is attracted to Adam. Of course, I could be totally wrong. LOL.

It’s a reference to Kris and his song, for sure. Jim not only lurves him some Kris, but Jim has Tweeted about taking part in some sort of Cabaret type thing where a Broadway singer read parts of a Kradam fanfic interpersed with singing Time For Miracles. And Jim Tweeted that this week’s Tweetbeat would have hidden AI messages.

Someone created Twitter account glambert696969 and calling themselves Jim Lambertiello, it’s not necessarly Jim. In fact I think it’s more of someone from ontd_ai.

  • OMG, ha ha ha Totally missed 1123. Must watch again. Heelarious. And who is cuter than Archie? NO ONE. (BTW, Jim’s Adam and other Idol’s album cover parodies and the outtakes are even funnier.)

  • I go back and forth with Jim. I think he is smart, and gifted with a great sense of humor and sense of comic timing. He has made me laugh out loud many times. I don’t like him when he just does nasty snark with no element of cleverness in it though, I know some people find that amusing but I do not. I really think he ought to leave that for people who are not capable of doing any better, which he clearly is, as shown in this clip. This was inspired, I loved it. His album cover parodies were great too.

  • This is hilarious! I love how Archie was reading his tweets, so adorable. And putting his face on the magazine, LOL, awesome. Good stuff.

Please get out of my head. :-)

This was immensely funny. Kudos to Jim on this skit; it’s one of his best.

    It ain’t that deep, folks.

The Gibson Les Paul is the classic humbucker pickup of American rock and roll. The Gibson Flying V is the flashier version. Same humbucker pickups, but in a more showy package favored by glam rockers, hair metal bands, ZZ Top, etc.

  • The Adam segment? Priceless.

  • Mark Bolin of T Rex and Billy Gibbons of ZZ Top are notable Flying V players as was Jimi Hendrix (#1 on Rolling Stone’s list of greatest guitarists) on the rare occasions when he played a Gibson. The list of Les Paul players would stretch around the world, but Duane Allman (#2 on the Rolling Stone list) is synonymous with his vintage gold-topped Les Pauls (although he also played the solid body SG).

Gibson provided a sunburst Les Paul for use by the winner of this years’s American Idol singing contest.

  • That is so funny. He looks good with the eye liner on. I really enjoyed this video.

  • Funny and sweet and clever too. Jim is a delight.

  • Haha… and here I thought Jim had somehow managed to find a really good sound-alike for Archie…

…and then there’s the mystery of the black nail polish he exhibits in some frames of the video but not in others.

  • I think the guitar bit was about classic (red) vs retro 80’s and funky (black and white guitar). Like he was being influenced by Adam to go back musically to another era. LOVED IT! Jim is hilarious!
