So……the disdain that Nigel and Simon have not only for Taylor, but for the Americans who vote and line their pockets and make their show a success, is becoming so apparent, that I personally am boycotting anything connected with American Idol. Sell your show to some American producers Nigel, and go home.

Just watching Larry King …geesh.. would somebody please buy Larry a clue . He has no idea what he’s talking about reads from cards and tries to fake his way through an interview. The segment with Dianna , Bucky and Elliott was laughable.

Antonella was horrible , there was nothing good about her performance tonight. I thought Simon was easy on her and she had the worst performance . On the other hand Haley wasn’t good but she wasn’t half as bad as Antonella and Simon ripped her a new one . Simon is a jerk who thinks with something other than his brain.Simon is so full of it that he’ll piss on your shoes and tell you it’s raining.
And I am so sick of hearing “you’re no Mariah”‘ ” you’re no Whitney”‘ “you’re no Celine”‘ you’re no Stevie”. Just take their damn songs off the list . It’s like a broken record. They tell them to be themselves when singing then they rip them because they are not like ” the forbidden ones”.

I always enjoyed listening to the violin and it is a difficult instrument to play but the thing about Antonella-she just isn’t a very good singer. She is the least talented of the remaining girls. Heck she is less talented than all the ones already sent home. Leslie could sing circles around her.

A LOT!! I wasn’t following that closely and I’m not a big chart watcher. I think Hey Good Lookin’ even won some awards. I don’t know how high it got on the chart, but it was big.

Question : Who among you heard or own LICENSE TO CHILL ? And what songs in this album did you hear on the radio ?

I haven’t heard the whole album because I’m not a Buffet fan but the album just happens to contain “Hey Good Lookin’” featuring Kenny Chesney, Click Black, Toby Keith, Alan Jackson and George Strait. They made a rocking video of it. He also made a video with Martin McBride of “Trip Around the Sun.” I’m not taking anything away from Jimmy Buffet because he is hugely successful. But I think having an all-star roster on board had a lot to do with those phenomenal sales.

I am against the slaughter of animals for the sake of fur alone. But perhaps you did not realize that we actually have alligator farms here in Florida. Gators are raised for the meat and their skin – kinda like cattle. If you are okay with wearing leather and eating hamburgers, I don’t think you should have a problem with gator skin.

Antonella surprises me everytime she’s on the show, i had no idea she could play violin so well.

i think news journalism has seen the sales skyrocket of trash/gossip magazines and see the popularity of places like perezhilton (WHO I HATE WITH THE FIERY PASSION OF A THOUSAND SUNS) and want a peice of it
it’s all about the benjamins.
i have a feeling sabrina or stephanie might go tomorrow because i don’t hear anything about their fanbases, they should both make top 12, but for some reason i think we’re in a shock for the girls tomorrow night

Watching LKL and Bucky and Elliott are such guys, totally clueless. LOL Lucky them. Diana DiGarmo is very wellspoken and it seemed at times that she especially wanted to say more about what goes on behind AI but thought better of it. It did seem like pimping of Antonella and was a waste of half an hour compared to the Jessica Lunsford coverage before it.

jpfan, I’m pretty confident Elliott will blow those numbers away. His music bridges the classic soul sound with more contemporary stuff. I expect him to leave any AI comparisons in the dust over time. And don’t worry about other radio programming. He’ll brighten that stuff up with his music and I think leave a strong enough imprint that will help influence the musical field.
