X Factor Week 4 – Results – VIDEO

UPDATE: Rachel Adedeji was eliminated from X Factor tonight.
Rachel and Lloyd Daniels hit the bottom 2. The judges’ vote deadlocked, with Dannii and Louie saving Rachel, Cheryl saving Lloyd and Simon refusing to pick. Rachel had the lowest number of votes–she was sent home.
Obviously, Rachel wasn’t connecting, with three trips to the bottom 3. But Lloyd? That singout was a pitchy, scary mess. He so deserved to be sent on his way tonight.

That’s too bad, Rachel was one of the most credible to imagine as a professional singer. I had written in my comments last night about the videos that I was put off by her saucy little wink to the camera as she sang “One”. Considering the emotional resonance of that song (as it should be anyway), it was quite jarring. She does have a very strong voice though. I hope that some good opportunities will come out of this for her.
Rachel deserved better but somehow just wasn’t connecting with voters. Neither of these two were the worst this week.
Damned shame Danyl got through.
I wish Simon hadn’t put that to the public vote.
Rachel should have stayed but I don’t think the public have ever gelled with her.
Lloyd is rubbish – the sore throat makes little difference!
Simon has ZERO credit with me anymore, nothing he says fazes me…
How can you sit in front of those two and not pick her to stay? and you make MILLIONS!!!!!!! doing this…. How?!
Oh, and plus the dipshit didn’t like ROF.. etc…
A really stupid move by Simon. I know Rachel obviousy isn’t connecting with the audience but Lloyd can’t sing even without the bad throat .. it wouldn’t have made any difference .. he still would have sounded sh*t.
It was their chance to get rid of him because now his tween fan base will be fired into action and he’ll be there until the end and probably win, it will serve Simon right …lol
The cyinical side of me thinks he wanted to keep Lloyd in to keep the tween viewing figures up (apparently Lloyd get’s the most fanmail and has the most followers on facebook) .. and of course there’s the money they make from the voting .. if he can spur the tweens on they’ll make more money.
Nice to see Bon Jovi again .. Jon Bon has fabulous hair
I love the Joe Cocker version of YASB.
Rachel wasn’t going to win, anyway, but this would’ve been a good chance to get rid of Lloyd, who is probably going to stick around and knock out other people who are a lot better than he is. Oh well.
I liked Rachel! Oh well.
the fact that the judges almost always chicken out and go to deadlock is annoying me. Pick a side, people!
Sometimes, I almost viserally dislike little cutesy boys, as they get all those tweeny votes, for no other reason than Cute. He certainly did not win on talent.
Yes, I know she was not going to win this, but to lose to this kid is so
wrong. She has a very nice voice, yet she does lack the all important
confidence. I really hope somebody gives her the break she needs!!!
They had to keep LLoyd in the competition for all the tweeny girls out there…its Lloyd and the twins who get the screams and the oohs and aahs. Come on this was a competition that unleashed Eoghan Quigg on the world…talk about a HORRIBLE singer.
Too bad re Rachel. She’s a good singer with memorable tone and pretty good technique. Could do well on radio. She’s got some non-X-factor videos on YT of her singing, and she sounds quite good & looks good too.
Ironically, she sang her own boot song with “stop crying your heart out”, esp since it was her 3rd time in the bottom 2.
Since there are 4 judges, it seems this will always be thrown to the people’s vote. 2 judges vote for their own mentees, 1 votes honestly, and then the final 1 throws it to the people’s choice. So why go through the sham of making the bottom 2 sing? Why not just go with the people’s vote, like in AI?
Not true…. Rickey was sent home instead of Rachel 2 weeks ago with a 2-1 vote (Louie was gone but said he would have sent Rickey home too – So 3-1). Personally, I would have sent Rachel home then just to put her out of her misery. The girl broke down every time she hit B2.
Last week I think Cheryl was really hoping that Danyl would get the boot if she threw it into DeadLock. Lloyd and Joe had a better shot vocally if Miss Frank were to stay in the competition rather than Danyl.
Being in the B2 for the third time really sent a message to the Judges. People weren’t connecting with Rachel. So while I think Simon would agree that vocally Rachel was much stronger and he would have liked to have kept her over Lloyd, he was only prolonging the inevitable. So throw it back to Deadlock.
I’m sure if the twins managed to get into the B2 then they’ll be sent home 3-1 too. Although I really don’t know how Louie could even defend them at this point.
