Bits and Pieces
First up–blogger JD Matthews interviewed Season 4 Top 44 contestant Jaclyn Crum. On the final day of the Hollywood Rounds, she was the last contestant eliminated from the Top 44 . Remember Jaclyn? She cried at the drop of a hat. She was talented, but too young to handle the pressure of the competition. Simon encouraged her to try out again, but a new rule the following season barred eliminated Top 44 contestants from re-auditioning. Also just posted–Part 2 of JD’s interview with Season 5 Top 16 contestant Will Makar.

Also, a short video of Elliott in the studio is posted on his page.
Chris Daughtry thanks his fans in his latest My Space Bulletin. Bulletins are friends-only messages that appear on a members login page. I’ll excerpt a little here:
“Hey y’all. I know it’ been a long time since I’ve posted so I think it’s about time. Been very busy as you know. I’m in Charlotte, NC now gettin’ ready for the Southern Sports Awards…Check the site www.southernsportsawards.com for local times and listings. I really just want to let you all know how soooooooo grateful I am for every single one of you that bought or are going to buy the album and continue to get the word out. It has obviously paid off. I had high hopes but never expected the first week to be soooo amazing. Not to mention being the first ever to come from american idol and be played on rock radio. That’s quite an honor for me. YOU made it happen. I wish I could hug all of you…or give you a high five…whatever you’re into. Basically I don’t feel that there’s any amount of words to express how much I truly appreciate each and every one of you.
And, check out Chris’s latest Blog entry for details about a newly scheduled DAUGHTRY appearance–at WTIC’s All-Star Christmas 2006 show in Hartford, CT on Tuesday December 12. Tickets can be purchased at Ticketmaster.
