Highlights:
- The first week numbers for Elliott Yamin’s debut independent release are in and there’s much to celebrate: #3 on the Billboard 200, Top Digital Albums and Top Internet Albums. #11 on the Top R&B Albums. And, #1 with a bullet on the Top Independent Albums chart. According to Nielsen Soundscan, Elliott sold 90, 511 units this week. Congratulations Elliott! Also, his new single, “Wait for You” debuted at #67 on the Billboard Hot 100. It jumped from #92 to #56 on the Pop 100 Chart. And it debuted at #45 and #51 on the Hot Digital Tracks and Hot Digital Songs, respectively.
- Taylor Hicks single, “Just to Feel that Way” climbed from #25 to #20 on the Adult Contemporary Chart. However, his album, Taylor Hicks, fell off the Billboard 200 this week.
- Kimberly Locke’s single “Change” climbed from #19 to #13 on the Adult Contemporary chart.
- Katharine McPhee’s single “Over It” has had a significant sales increase this week. It climbed from #49 to #29 on the Billboard Hot 100, #33 to #21 on the Pop 100, and from #33 to #18 on the Top Digital Tracks and #37 to #18 on the Hot Digital Songs charts. “Over It” was featured on more than 5, 000 screens in movie theaters across the country on March 23.
- Carrie Underwood’s album “Some Hearts” maintains its #1 spot on the Top Country Albums chart.
- Chris Daughtry’s single “It’s Not Over” maintains the #1 position on the Adult Top 40 chart for the 6th week in a row.
- The Zombie’s 39 year old hit “Time of the Season” enters the Top Digital Songs chart at #67. Blake Lewis performed the song British Invasion week, Top 11.
