As we approach the New Year, I thought I’d do a little roundup of the biggest stories of 2011. What I’ve included here are stories related to the shows I cover on the blog, including: American Idol, X Factor, Glee, Dancing With the Stars and America’s Got Talent. The list is mostly show related items, but if a contestant or cast member made some waves, I’ve got it covered here too.

Idol Headlines for 12/31/11
Lauren Alaina will perform on the FOX New Years Eve Live. 11/10c PM.
Siobhan Magnus will headline the First Night celebration in Chatham, MA with two concerts at the high school, an appearance on a purple motorcycle in the Noise Parade, and a midnight rendition of the national anthem. (Via Barnstable Patriot)

Brook White will join 2010 Grammy Award winner Steve Vaus for a benefit concert at the Mesa Arts Center, Mesa AZ
Blake Lewis will host a New Years Eve event at Share Nightclub in Las Vegas on December 30. New Years Eve.
Chris Daughtry will appear on The Price is Right on Thursday, January 5. He’s playing for the Alzheimer’s Association.
