2015 BET Awards Winners List

The 2015 BET Awards celebrated its 15 anniversary Sunday night, as Janet Jackson was the recipient of the Ultimate Icon Award, Nicki Minaj brought her mom onstage as she picked up the award for best female hip-hop artist, and Sam Smith picked a the prize for Best New Artist.

The event was hosted by  Black-ish stars Anthony Anderson and Tracee Ellis Ross.

The cast of Empire performed a medley of show hits, including: “Drip Drop,” “No Apologies,” and “You’re So Beautiful.”  Tori Kelly took part in a Smokey Robinson tribute.
