The 2018 Radio Disney Music Awards taped in Los Angeles Friday night (June 22) and many of your favorite reality stars hit the red carpet.
News Flash: For what may be the first time ever, American Idol QUEENS Carrie Underwood and Kelly Clarkson posed TOGETHER for photos! Reportedly, they also sat near each other in the audience. Carrie will perform “The Champion” with Ludacris and will honored with the Hero Award for her charitable works. Kelly is set to perform a medley of her hit songs and will receive the Icon Award.
Meanwhile, Kelly brought a date! Nope not her husband/manager Brandon Blackstock. The Voice winner Brynn Cartelli accompanied her winning coach to the event (Heh. That’s one way to get the winner of that rival show on another network in the building!) Speaking of current singing show winners? American Idol champ Maddie Poppe will perform her coronation song, “Going Going Gone” on the RDMA stage.
Also in the house: American Idol finalists Michael J. Woodard and Catie Turner. According to Catie’s always delightful twitter feed, Michael handed out an award. And The Voice 12 and AGT alum, Brennley Brown, The Voice 10 singer Mary Sarah also hit the red carpet. And let’s not forget Boyband winners, In Real Life. KUDOS to Disney for still trying to make those boys happen! (They won the low rated and subsequently cancelled 2017 summer competition.)
