2022 ACM Winners: Morgan Wallen Returns, Kelly Clarkson Fetes Dolly

Morgan Wallen made a triumphant return to the world of Country music awards when he accepted a trophy Monday night for Album of the Year for Dangerous: The Double Album. This, after being kept off award show stages for a year after a racist video of Morgan using the n-word surfaced online.

Dolly Parton hosted with the help of Gabby Barrett (American Idol) and Jimmie Allen (American Idol, Dancing with the Stars). Both, however, came away empty-handed when it came to awards. Carly Pearce won Female Artist of the Year, while Chris Stapleton won Male Artist of the Year.

At the end of the night, American Idol OG winner and talk show host Kelly Clarkson paid tribute to Dolly with a cover of her classic “I Will Always Love You.”
