On June 5, the MTV Movie & TV Awards and the Movie & TV Awards: UNSCRIPTED will both air live from Los Angeles in what MTV is calling a one-night-only global event. And today (May 11), the nominees for both shows have been revealed. The unscripted categories are listed below. For the full list, go to MTV.com

For best competition series, the nominees are: American Idol, Dancing with the Stars, RuPaul’s Drag Race, The Challenge: Spies, Lies & Allies and The Masked Singer. MTV snubbed The Voice, which is odd, considering a huge pop star, Ariana Grande, sat on the panel last fall.
Queen of the Universe, the Paramount+ singing competition for drag queens (American Idol alum Ada Vox finished as runner-up in the inaugural season) is nominated in the Best New Unscripted Series category. And The Kelly Clarkson Show is nominated in both the Best Talk/Topical Show and Best Host Categories.
