Adam Lambert has dropped a song from his upcoming EP Velvet: Side A, set to come out on September 27. “Superpower” is dedicated to those who feel they don’t have the power. “There’s a lot of crazy stuff going on in the world right now,” the American Idol season 8 alum told Capital FM in a Facetime interview.
“I feel like there’s a lot of groups of people that get discriminated against or get ostracized. I kind of wanted to make a song to make people in that situation feel like they didn’t have to take it,” said Adam. He described the song, written by Adam, Tommy English & Ilsey Juber as a “proud rebellion.” Tommy English, Adam revealed on Twitter, produced and played guitar on the track.
