WELP. Who saw this coming? Glee creator, Ryan Murphy, announced on twitter tonight that Adam Lambert will be joining the Glee cast.
What part will he play? Well maybe this from TV Line will reveal a clue:

Ausiello: At least three new female recurring characters, including African-American McKinley newbie Ruby, and twentysomethings Julie and Ryan. Interestingly, actresses auditioning for Ryan must be able to sing and play guitar. Potential portrayers of Julie just need to be cute and quirky.
Or not. I’m thinking Adam will play a character in the New York City world (Glee is split between the high school students in Ohio, and a handful of graduates in New York City). Maybe a teacher at NYADA, the fictional school of the arts where Kurt (Chris Colfer) and Rachel (Lea Michele) attend?
ETA: Yes! Rachel auditioned for a Broadway production of Funny Girl at the end of last season. If there is a Broadway storyline, I could TOTALLY see Adam a part of that! Or, he could work at Vogue.com, where Kurt has an internship…
