When Adam Lambert auditioned for American Idol season 8 in 2008, he was a struggling actor/singer in Los Angeles. At the time, he was performing as part of the ensemble and an understudy for the Los Angeles production of Wicked.
So he was PERFECT to take part in the NBC’s A Very Wicked Halloween special hosted by original Broadway production stars Idina Menzel (Elphaba) and Kristin Chenoweth (Glinda). The special, which celebrated 15 years of the hit musical also starred Pentatonix, Ariana Grande and more.
“Before touring with Queen, and become a Grammy nominated Idol of millions,”said Kristin by way of introduction, Adam “was part of our hardworking ensemble, going on as Fiyero in our first national tour and our Los Angeles company.”
