The Maroon 5 music video for their latest single “Maps” features frontman, Adam Levine as the star in a mini-movie that depicts a night out for a couple that takes a tragic turn.
The twist is, that except for the very last scene, the story is told in flash-forwards. As the protagonist who sets off an unfortunate series of events when he makes a very bad decision at a party, Adam is a solid lead in this compelling little piece of video.
Warnings: Language and violent images ahead.
Adam, who will be returning as a coach when The Voice returns to NBC in September, makes his feature film debut alongside Mark Ruffalo, Keira Knightley, and Hailee Steinfeld, in Begin Again, set to open in wide release on July 11.
The singer told The Hollywood Reporter a few months ago that he took the role in the romantic drama for next to no pay.
