America’s Got Talent season 17 continues on Tuesday (July 19) with acts including singers, dancers, comics and more. Howie Mandel, Sofia Vergara, Heidi Klum and Simon Cowell sit on the judges panel, while Terry Crews returns to host.
Featured this week: Family country trio whom CMT made a “Next Women of Country” artist, an indie singer who starred in the Broadway musical Once, a choir who has performed alongside several popular artists, and more.

Amanda Mammana – Singer – Singer-songwriter/producer hailing from Trumbull, Connecticut who attends Liberty University. A talented guitar player, several of Amanda’s social media videos feature her playing the acoustic or electric guitar. Instagram Tik Tok
Amoukanama – Acrobats – A Guinea-based circus company. The group aims to bridge Europa (Belgium) and Africa, and use the circus as a form of creating connection. Their act has music, somersaults, and even contortion. Website Instagram VIDEO
Ballet After Dark – Ballet group – This group’s ballet has real life meaning. Ballet After Dark has a huge impact in Baltimore, Maryland where they offer dance therapy to survivors of various levels of violence. The group was founded by Tyde-Courtney Edwards who is a trained ballerina, art model, and survivor of sexual assault. Chapel Hart – Family country singing trio – The New Orleans-based trio (originally from Poplarville, Mississippi) has released two independent studio albums and five singles. The group is one of the hottest unsigned country acts, as CMT selected them as one of the network’s 2021 “Next Women of Country” artists. Jack the Whipper – Whip-cracker/Circus performer – Jack Lepiarz is the son of a circus performer. His day job is an anchor, producer, and news director for WERS 88.9 FM in Boston. Jack performs a variety of circus-type performances across the US including whip-cracking. He sometimes makes music with his whip-cracking. He also holds Guinness World Records in whip cracking. John Glenn High School Dance Team – High school Kick Dance/Pom Team – Pom dance crew from Bangor Township, Michigan that specializes in high kick. Maytree – Acapella Quintet – Korean Acapella group that often cover soundtrack and sound effect type music. The group has been competing in worldwide competitions for years, including landing 2nd place at Moscow Acapella Festival in 2018, 1st prize of popular music category at 2011 Busan Choral, and 1st prize of jazz & pop categories at 2013 Yeosu Choral International competition and more. They most notably went viral on Youtube with a Squid Game video at the height of the show’s popularity, garnering over 246 million views WATCH. They have 10.8 million followers on Tik Tok. Professor Murat’s Flea Circus – Novelty act – The act seems to be old-school circus with a touch of comedy due to the overdramatizing of his flea circus. Watch a performance HERE. Website
Sam Cieri – Singer – The indie rock singer fronts a NYC based band called the Nicotine Dolls, and it appears he is representing them on the AGT stage (he posted from their account and often posts his solos on that account). The Nicotine Dolls account has 419K followers on Tik Tok. Sam often takes pop songs and puts his own spin on them. Sergio and Lucy – Dancing rolling doll duo – A take on dancing dolls, but with roller blades. Sergey Korolev, from season 10 and 13’s Sergey and Sasha, runs the act. The act has debuted in Vegas WATCH. Instagram
Sing Harlem – Choir – The group has appeared on various shows across America like The View, Saturday Night Live, The Tonight Show, and more and according to their YouTube bio they, “accompany a variety of musical artists including SZA, Sting, Arianna Grande, Pharrell Williams, Alessia Cara, Lykke Li, Chance the Rapper, and Madonna.” American Idol season 18 winner, Just Sam, has also performed with the group. From their Youtube bio: “Vy Higginsen’s award winning Sing Harlem was formed to be the breakout choir for Mama Foundation for the Arts’ School of Gospel, Jazz, and R&B Arts. Svitlana Rohozhyna – Aerielist – Svitlana, a Ukrainian aerialist based in Las Vegas, was a highlight act of the “the famous EXTRAVAGANZA SHOW, The BUDDHA BAR and LA BOUCHE THE SHOW”, but now performs solo. The Lazy Generation – Comedy stunts – This group hails from the UK and has their own show on Comedy Central UK called Lazy Generation: Stupid Stunts. The group performs dumb, laughable stunts that often result in falls, slight injury, etc. Instagram Tik Tok 18+ Website
Wenzl McGowen – Saxophonist – Saxophonist was born in Spain and based in Brooklyn, NY. He appears to perform with a traffic cone on his saxophone. He had a viral song called “Traffic Cone Jam” along with his subway formed group called Moon Hooch. He infuses dance-style music to the jazzy instrument. Moon Hooch has had chart success with their debut album hitting No. 9 on the Billboard Jazz charts and their sophomore album hitting No. 5. AllMusic writes about them HERE. Yu Hojin – Magician – NBC leaked Yu’s audition. Watch it HERE. Twenty-nine year old Yu is from Seoul, South Korea. After a stint in the army, h toured with The Illusionists (hit international tour show) for 7 years, starting in 2013, before announcing he wouldn’t join them on tour anymore in order to perform on his own. In fact, Yu appeared on an AGT results show in 2016 as part of the group. WATCH.
