Amercia’s Got Talent 2023: Watch Avantgardey impress the judges with their comic, synchronized dance moves

America’s Got Talent 2023 continues with Auditions 2 and a fun Japanese dance group, Avantgardey. Led by founder, producer, and choreographer Akane, the 20-member team has been impressing audiences since their beginings in February 2022.

The team’s highly synchronized routines are comical and catchy featuring exaggerated facial expressions and dance moves. According to Arkane, the team’s dance performances are a way to express emotions that cannot be put into words.

On stage, the group surprises the judges with their precise choreography. The group moves as if they were one. But while the group is seriously disciplined, the message is tongue-in-cheek and meant to amuse and entertain.

“You are so beyond in sync,” gushed Heidi Klum after the group’s performance “You really think outside the box,” she added, “I really feel like I saw your Japanese soul.”

Sofia Vergara said, “This was beyond anything I expected. It was something weird that we never seen. I love you girls.”

“That was genius. I’m really, really, really happy you’ve come all the way from Japan to here. So thank you,” said Simon Cowell.

“I’ll put it in your terms,” said Howie Mandel mimicking their hand gestures. “I loved everything that you do. I’ve never seen anything like this before.”

“I want our dance to make people smile and forget their bad things,” Akane says. “Our goal is to deliver an addictive performance that will stick in people’s minds long after seeing it.”

AGT fans won’t have to wait until the Auditions 2 episode airs on Tuesday (June 6) to find out if the group advanced to the next round. The judges give Avantgardey four very enthusiastic yeses.

America’s Got Talent airs on NBC Tuesdays at 8 pm ET/PT
