Sangsoon Kim a 28 year old magician from South Korea takes the stage to show the America’s Got Talent judges his skilled sleight of hand. In a new preview that will air on Tuesday’s show (June 27).
Sagoon shares that before he worked as a magician, he served in the South Korean military (Fun Fact: Every South Korean male is required to serve in the military for at least two years. Military service requirements are why BTS broke up!)
Sangsoon jokes that he’s better than America’s Got Talent finalist Yu Hojin
Sangsoon jokes that he decided to audition for AGT after talking with former finalist Yu Hojin. “We kept talking about AGT, and I thought, Oh I can go, because I’m better.” Simon Cowell got a big chuckle out of that. He loves contestants who exhibit humor and confidence.

His magic routine is unique as it involves choreography. As he performs magic–changing the colors of athletic footwear instantly– he moves around the stage gracefully. The sneakers have laces, and then they don’t. The laces reappear on a different part of the shoe. One shoe turns into two. It’s a clever and colorful act.

He ends his time on the stage by changing the color of the shoes he’s wearing. He tosses his cap. What happened to it? The crowd is stunned. “Wow!” exclaims Howie Mandel. Will Simon weigh in on who is the better magician, Sangsoon or Yu?
