She’s baaaack. The creepy magician, Sacred Riana, performed horror themed illusions on America’s Got Talent season 13 in 2018. AGT creator and judge Simon Cowell tried really hard to make this act happen–talking her up, featuring her in promos. But the american public rejected her in the quarter-final round.
Marie Antoinette Riana Graharani is an Indonesian native who WON Asia’s Got Talent season 2 in 2017. But it seems America wasn’t going for the entertainer’s weird vibes, despite judge Howie Mandel declaring her “one of the most viral acts of all time.”
Once again, Riana approaches the judges table. Wordlessly, she offers them a box. “Her hands are ice-cold!” declares Simon. Each judge, including Heidi Klum, chooses a slip of paper. She takes each slip one by one looking for a match to an old framed photograph she’s holding. Howie has the match. The photo disappears. She takes him onstage. And then more “scary” stuff happens. Riana leads how back to his seat and…maybe I won’t spoil it for you?
After the “ghost” promises to come for Howie, and Riana disappears off stage, the panel is ready to move on to the next act. Or do they? It’s unclear if the video cuts off at a cliffhanger. We never find out what the panel really thinks about the act, because they buy into it as if it weren’t a act. Maybe they don’t want to spoil it either.
Tune into America’s Got Talent: All Stars Week 4 on NBC, Monday January 23 at 8 pm ET/PT to find out what happens.
