After releasing the Big Brother 24 cast list, CBS replaced a houseguest only hours later. Why? He’s a contestant on America’s Got Talent!
Marvin’s AGT audition aired on Episode 2. Fans may recall Marvin as the SHREDDED TO THE CORE fitness instructor who also worked as a chemical engineer. He entered the stage dressed in a lab coat, and after spilling “chemicals” on himself, he stripped off his coat and shirt. He proceeded to flex his muscles, and somehow that was enough to advance him to the next round. Howie Mandel said no. However, the possibility of AGT actually choosing Marvin’s lame act to compete in the live rounds in August–pretty close to nil.
Was CBS unaware of Marvin’s AGT audition?
The question is: How did Marvin get cast on two shows at the same time? Were AGT and Big Brother aware that their contestant was also appearing on another competition, on another network this summer? Interestingly, although Marvin advanced on AGT, NBC did NOT upload his audition. Perhaps he was already disqualified by the time the audition aired.
Was CBS unaware of Marvin’s second gig, until it became public and fans began talking about it on social media? Marvin is gone from the CBS PR site. But this is what his entry looked like on the release:
Name: Marvin Achi
Age: 28
Hometown: Rivers State, Nigeria
Current City: Houston, Texas
Occupation: Chemical processing engineer
CBS didn’t mention that he moonlights as a personal trainer
Check out his America’s Got Talent audition. He and host Terry Crews engage in a pec-off. It’s pretty dumb.
