AGT Fantasy League preview: Watch reigning champs Adrian Stoica & Hurricane defend their title
America’s Got Talent: Fantasy League continues on Monday with the second week of Qualifiers. It would be hard to imagine the reigning AGT champs, the adorable dog act, Adrian Stoica & Hurricane not advancing to the semi-finals.
Yes, the America’s Got Talent season 18 champs return to compete again on AGT: Fantasy League to defend their title as members of Team Simon Cowell. NBC recently previewed a clip of their cute new routine.
For their latest outing, Adrian and Hurricane portray a domestic scene in which Hurricane manages to interfere with Adrian’s attempts to relax in front of the TV set after a hard day at work. As Adrian tries to eat a piece of bread Hurricane hands him a tape measure–presumably a taunt that he needs to watch his carbs. Afterward, the two exercise together. Eventually, Hurricane tucks Adrian in before bed. As soon as Adrian is snoozing, the clever doggo nabs the snack he kept Adrian from eating. It’s another creative routine featuring surprisingly organic storytelling not typically found in an animal act.
“It seems like Hurricane has trained you!”
Howie Mandel notes that the show has “seen a lot of animal acts…we’ve never seen one like Hurricane, where it seems like Hurricane has trained you!” He adds, “Simon is very lucky to have you in his squad.” Heidi Klum remarks, “You are such a dynamic duo, and it’s quite a long act for a dog to remember. It’s just really incredible what you do.” Mel B., who mentions that it’s her first time seeing the act calls it, “Just adorable!” She adds, “You are a great example of what the Fantasy League is all about.”
Simon says, “Since the day we’ve met you, you have just got better and better and better,” adding “I really think the fact that you put your title on the line to come back to compete again says so much about you as well.” Simon “really really hopes” the audience votes him through.
Adrian confesses a secret crush on Mel B.!
When Simon joins the act on stage to pet the dog, Adrian shares a little secret with him. “Just when I thought things were going so well,” he says, “Adrian just said to me ‘I have a big crush on Mel B.'” Mel joins Adrian on stage for a requested selfie. He admits that as a teen, he had a photo of her on his wall! In the resulting pic, Simon does NOT look happy!
AGT: Fantasy League airs Monday January 8 on NBC at 8 pm ET/PT.
