Alex Preston raised 11,000 via a Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign to write and record his debut album in the wilderness.
As he promised, he traveled out west last winter, to to a little cabin, and got down to work. The result is 11 songs that will be featured on his forthcoming album.
The American Idol season 13 2nd runner-up has released the first single, “Break My Heart” to iTunes. Check out the official video, filmed at his wilderness retreat.
The self-titled album, due July 21, is now available for pre-order at RelicaShop.com, where you can also order bundles and a documentary, Lone Pine, that details his wilderness adventure.
