American Idol 10 – Green Mile Part 2– Recap

OK. I get it Nigel. We needed a 3 hour Green Mile episode to properly introduce every single one of the Top 24. Yes, I’ve bitched in the past when producers failed to showcase all the hopefuls who will compete on the live stage. So, bravo for finally showcasing EVERYBODY.

Have said that?  Three hours of the Green Mile was excruciating.  Honestly. After the excitement of Hollywood, the reveal was mind-numblingly dull.  How many different ways can you tell a contestant “Yes” while attempting a lame fake out at the same time? Uh, not too many ways.  The reactions got to be pretty predictable after the first 1 1/2 or so.  I’ll just say I’m REALLY REALLY happy to be heading into the live shows.

Bravo Nigel.  It’s a little too soon to declare victory, but I think you’re well on your way to saving American Idol.  I’ll have some thought on the Top 24 in a few days. In the meantime, check out my Top 24 List (I’ll be adding more links and photos tomorrow).

Plus, my live blog includes videos for every single Top 24 contestant we saw tonight. AND I’ve posted a gallery of FOX official Top 24 portraits, so make sure to click on the jump!
