Jacob E. Lusk – I thought an extra-special edition of featured American Idol 10 Top 40 Idol hopefuls was in order for today, considering last night’s abysmal Los Angeles audition episode.

Nigel Lythgoe’s twitter spun the LA auditions as if the producers had nothing else to show us, but as it turns out there were TWO Top 40 hopefuls that were not featured last night.
FOX released preview footage of Jacob E. Lusk but for some reason decided we needed to see deluded duos and mentally ill people instead. My guess is that Jacob is cannon fodder. And since, according to an Entertainment Weekly reporter who sat in on some of the LA auditions, his audition was pretty entertaining, maybe Nigel didn’t want to risk this guy developing a fan base. Also left out last night was LaKeisha Lewis. I hope those “image issues” aren’t what kept her off our TV screens last night. UGH.
