I couldn’t decide last night which American Idol 13 Top 5 performance to pull out into a separate thread. But now that Alex Preston’s “Say Something” has cracked the Top 50 on iTunes, I’ve made my choice!
Alex’s tender rendition of A Great Big World’s hit was one of my favorites of the night. The judges approved, too.
“You’re such a talented guy,” said Harry Connick Jr. “For me, that was the performance of the night.” Keith Urban sent out a huge thank you to everybody in America who suggested the song, “If ever there was a perfect marriage of song and artist, it was right there. Absolutely beautiful.” Jennifer Lopez added, “You’re vocal took it to a whole other level.”
