Twenty two year old Puerto Rican native and San Francisco hopeful, Samuel Prince, was SO excited to meet judge Jennifer Lopez, he literally bowed at her feet.
He bowed at her feet, calling the judge the “Queen of Puerto Rico” making fellow panelist, Harry Connick Jr., a little jealous!
Revealing that he is an actor as well as a singer, Samuel asked the judges, including Keith Urban, to join him on the seal to act out a soap opera scene. Not helping his chances, Samuel mistakenly calls Harry “Henry.” WHOOPS.
We get a production, complete with a theme song and credits (KEITH URBANO!). And SCENE! When Samuel accuses Jennifer of cheating on him (IN VERY EMOTIONAL SPANISH) with both Harry and Keith, Jennifer does the only thing a lady can do when her virtue questioned. She hauls back and slaps him right across the face! Well, not really. But it looks pretty real!
Afterward, Samuel does the thing that brought him there. He sings.
Maybe he should stick to acting. Or maybe not.
The American Idol 14 auditions come to a close this week, with two nights of San Francisco goodness! “I would say San Francisco delivered in spades,” said Keith Urban about the city by the bay, when he spoke with reporters back in December. “The turnout was extraordinary. We sent an enormous amount of people through. ”
