Trent was the clear favorite last week, with Dalton coming in a healthy and respectable second. While Trent stole the show last week, Dalton certainly made an impact with his emotional performances.  The rest of the performances scored below 10%.

WOW. Nearly 70% believe that former front runner, MacKenzie Bourg, is leaving the competition tonight. I don’t think you’re wrong.

LOOK AT THAT! I can’t remember the last time ya’ll gave an American Idol episode an A. It’s more like an A-, but still!

Prediction: MacKenzie Bourg leaves American Idol tonight. This is when the eliminations become really painful. I wish, in deference to the competitors who made it SO far in the competition, that the producers would allow them each to perform all three songs. It would have also been a way to thank the fans who stuck by their favs this far. If a singer makes it to 4th place, they’ve got plenty of fans. At least MacKenzie will go out on a high note with the spiritual, “Hallelujah.”
