The American Idol Top 5 will sing three songs each on Sunday’s (May 16) semifinal episode. The singers will perform 3 original songs recorded with top-notch producers, a Personal Idol themed song. Additionally, the contestants will perform duets and trios of songs by pop producer Finneas. The sister and musical partner to Billie Eilish will be on hand to mentor the contestants.
According to @IdolSpoilers, the two Finneas songs that will be performed as Duets/Trios are “Break My Heart Again” and “What They Say About Us.” Also, @IdolSpoilers posted singles art and producer credits for each of the Top 7. Only the Top 5 will perform their song in competition. But all seven singles will drop this Friday (May 14). According to Billboard, Chayce Beckham, Hunter Metts and Caleb Kennedy penned their own songs.
