American Idol is releasing more details about Sunday’s (May 22) three hour season 20 finale. After the Top 3 contestants, Leah Marlene, HunterGirl and Noah Thompson returned from their Hometown visits (Click for clips and photos!) the show posted a clip of judges Katy Perry and Luke Bryan revealing the finalists duet partners.

Katy Perry and Leah Marlene will sing a duet of Katy’s hit “Firework” because 9 year old Leah uploaded a cover on Youtube! Luke joked with HunterGirl, “Being that I don’t have a single to promote, or anything helping my career…you and I are going to perform on the finale, ‘I Told You So; by Randy Travis.” And last but not least: “Our friend reached out and wanted to sing with you,” said Katy to Noah Thompson. “Her name is Melissa Etheridge.”

Lady K told the Montgomery advertiser that the entire Top 10 would be assigned duet partners. “Top 10 is returning to do 4 performances” including group performances.

Additionally, American Idol socials have been releasing celebrity guest/contestant pairings. Ben Platt cancelled mentoring for Disney night, but instead, he’ll join forces with Top 10 contestant Lady K. Deana Carter will sing with soulful country singer Mike Parker  on his audition song, “Strawberry Wine.” Tai Verdes will perform with the Top 20 contestants.  Earth Wind and Fire will perform a medley with Jay Copeland.
