American Idol 2023 Top 26 POLLS: Vote for your favorites from Night TWO. Predict who will leave the competition!
American Idol 2023 Top 26 performances are in the books. On Sunday, in a mega 3 hour episode, SIX singers will be eliminated to reveal a Top 20. Thee singers from each night will go home. Boo hoo! (Read our Recap)
Sunday’s Night 1 performances were slightly stronger than Monday’s night 2 performances, but not by much. Season 21 may be the strongest of the ABC era.
The best performances of the night came from Hannah Nicolaisen, Olivia Soli, and Wé Ani. Honorable mentions go to Michael Williams, Marybeth Byrd, Malik Heard and Tyson Venegas.
The advice Noah Cyrus gave to contestants was often very specific. She seemed most helpful to singers who needed assistance with their performance skills and confidence.
Who will go home this week? Dawson Wayne chose a poor moment to take a risk. But at the time, taped before the season premiere, he had no idea that he’d barely get any screen time. He might be in trouble. Malik Heard is entertaining, but he suffers from underexposure as well. Oddly, judge-favorite Elijah McCormick might be in trouble after singing an upbeat song (and singing first in the lineup). Also, while Paige Anne caught a break after a Top 26 singer dropped out, the show stuck her in the death spot. Her performance was solid, but not spectacular. She is so good in intimate settings, but is swallowed up when backed by a band on a big stage. Michael Williams might have saved himself by singing a romantic song for his wife. I’m getting Ace Young (Season 5 heartthrob) vibes right up in here.
Who do you think is going home? Which was your favorite performance? Noah Cyrus Yay or Nay? VOTE VOTE VOTE! We’ll reveal the results later this week.
