American Idol 2024: Full Season 22 Schedule (Keep watching for updates!)

Follow along as we keep track of the American Idol season 22 TV schedule. American Idol 2024 premieres on Sunday, February 18 at 8 pm on ABC. The show will stream on Hulu beginning at Midnight the following day.

American Idol 2024 Contestants Preview (Videos, Photos)

Season 22 of American Idol continues on ABC as  judges Luke Bryan, Katy Perry and Lionel Richie look for America’s next singing star. Ryan Seacrest hosts. The judges travel to their hometowns to audition hopefuls, Leesburg, Georgia (Luke), Tuskegee, Alabama (Lionel), Santa Barbara, California (Katy) plus Nashville and Los Angeles.

After the Hollywood Round, the Top 57 contestants competed in the Showstopper showcase in front of a live Los Angeles audience. From there, The Top 24 semi-finalists traveled to Hawaii to perform in front of the judges and a concert crowd at the Disney Aulani Resort. Jelly Roll and Tori Kelly served as celebrity mentors. Fan votes will determine the American Idol season 22 Top 20!

Monday Apr 15 – 8-10 pm ET/PT – Top 14 Reveal (LIVE SHOW) – Ryan Seacrest Reveals the Top 10 who will perform a “victory song.” The remaining contestants sing for four wildcard spots.

Sunday Apr 21 – 8-10 pm ET/PT – Rock & Roll Hall of Fame week (LIVE SHOW) – Top 14 take on songs from RHOF inductees. America votes in real time. A Top 12 is revealed at the end of the show. Gene Simmons mentors. The 2024 RHOF inductees will be unveiled.
Monday April 22 – 8-10 pm ET/PT – Billboard #1 Hits (LIVE SHOW) – The Top 12 perform their fav Billboard No. 1 hits. America votes in real time. Meghan Trainor mentors. David Archuleta performs. A Top 10 is revealed at the end of the show.

Sunday Apr 28 – 8-10 pm ET – The Top 10 perform BIRTH YEAR songs. (LIVE COAST to COAST SHOW) Shania Twain mentors. Just Sam and Scotty McCreery perform. – A Top 8 will be REVEALED by the end of the show
Monday April 29 – 8-10 pm ET – Judges Song Contest – The judges choose songs for the Top 8. A Top 6 will be revealed, the judges save a contestant making a Top 7. Plus, a special tribute to the late season 5 alum, Mandisa. (LIVE COAST to COAST SHOW)

Sunday May 5 – 8-10 pm ET – Adele Night (Top 7) – The Top 7 sing two songs. One from the Adele catalog, the other from a “dance songs” theme. Ciara mentors. Meghan Trainor returns to perform her new single “Been Like This.” Fan votes determine the Top 5, announced at the end of the show. (LIVE COAST TO COAST SHOW)

Sunday May 12 – 8-10 pm ET – Disney Night – The Top 5 travel to Walt Disney World in Florida. The singers perform two songs from the Disney songbook. Country singer Kane Brown serves as mentor. A Top 3 is revealed. (LIVE COAST TO COAST SHOW)

Sunday May 19 – 3 HOUR FINALE – Top 3 mentored by Jon Bon Jovi (LIVE COAST TO COAST SHOW)
