American Idol 2024 Top 20 Polls: VOTE for your FAVORITE Performance, PREDICT which six singers will LEAVE the show
In an epic 3-hour episode, the American Idol 2024 Top 20 were revealed. Four contestants were eliminated–two from each night of last week’s Top 24 performances. Sunday’s episode was the last night of competition to be taped ahead of airing the show. American Idol season 22 goes LIVE Monday night (April 15), when the Top 14 will be revealed. (Read our Recap)
Here’s how the Top 14 reveal will proceed: Host Ryan Seacrest will reveal the Top 10, who will each perform a “victory song.” The remaining 10 artists will sing to compete for FOUR Wildcard spots chosen by judges Lionel Richie, Katy Perry and Luke Bryan. Six contestants will leave the competition.
Sunday’s Top 20 episode said goodbye to Blake Proehl, Hailey Mia, Elleigh Marie and KBlocks. It’s too bad Hailey didn’t go farther. She had a ton of potential. Blake struggled to stay on pitch throughout his Top 24 performance. Both Hailey and Elleigh performed early in the performance line-up, which hurt them. KBlocks was just a little too weird for the fans back home, although I was kinda hoping she’d last longer. She was entertaining!

Favorite Performances
If I had to choose one, it would be McKenna Breinholt’s “Both Sides Now.” Her sensitive rendition did justice to a Joni Mitchell classic. But I also really liked Abi Carter’s “Welcome to the Black Parade,”Kayko’s “Over You” and Roman Collins’ “Never Would Have Made It.”
I would give the episode an A grade. Overall, it was a terrific night of performances. Season 22 is full of fantastic talent.
