American Idol 2025 Spoilers: Top 24 Season 23 Contestant List & Disney Aulani Round Song Picks

American Idol 2025 filmed the season 23 Top 24 contestants at Disney Aulani Resort in Hawaii as the show has done for a few seasons now. The taping took place on Tuesday Feb. 11 and Wednesday Feb 12 in front of the judges Lionel Richie, Luke Bryan and Carrie Underwood. As always, Ryan Seacrest served as host. 20 years after winning American Idol in 2005, Carrie joins Lionel and Luke on the panel after the departure of Katy Perry.

And heck yeah. There are SPOILERS from the round, which was filmed in front of a live audience.

Ashanti and Josh Groban served as mentors. Jelly Roll is the official American Idol “Artist in Residence”

Earlier this week, ABC officially announced that R&B singer Ashanti and pop crooner Josh Groban mentored the Top 24 contestants specifically. What’s more, American Idol has added country singer Jelly Roll as an “artist in residence.” He began working with the singers during Hollywood Week, and is set to help the contestants throughout the season.

Top 24 features familiar faces and a NEPO BABY!

A few names on the American Idol 2025 Top 24 list may sound familiar. Drew Ryn finished in sixth place on X Factor USA Season 1 in 2011. She was only a 14 year old teen. Now she is 27 and about to age out of Idol’s upper age limit, which is 28!

The Top 24 also features a couple of The Voice alums. Thunderstorm Artis come in third place on The Voice 18 on Team Nick Jonas. Unfortunately, during spring 2020 when the season took place, the world was locked down due to Covid and Thunderstorm never experienced a live show. Maybe now he will. Also Victor Solomon, an R&B singer from season 20 and Team John Legend is a Top 24 contender. But is he really singing a Luke Bryan song? Hm.

Remember that one season singing competition Boy Band? It aired summer 2017. Mikey Jimenez aka MKY finished JUST before the final vice were chosen!

French Canadian singer Olivier Bergeron competed on Star Academie.

And 22 year old country singer Baylee Littrell is the SON of Backstreet Boy member Brian Littrell. Wow.

Reportedly, after fans vote, the Top 24 will be cut down to a Top 20 as in years past.

As always, remember, THESE ARE UNOFFICIAL SPOILERS. While the list comes from a bunch of folks at Idol Forums who have helped spoil in the past, and is likely correct. AND, mjsbigblog has been able to confirm many of these spoilers independently, there could be a few corrections along the way.
