American Idol 9 Top 4 Talk To The Press

The Top 4 took questions from the press this afternoon in Los Angeles. Here are a few highlights from Richard Rushfield who tweeted a few soundbites:

The bowersox – I never intended to quit. I just missed my kid and ryan and I had a very civil and helpful conversation – The Bowersox on album. I want to co-produce my own album. Organic roots music kinda stuff – Big mike – I want to hang w Simon after this because the guys got a little bit of swag to him – Big mike and the bowersox say they bonded off the bat as parents – Do over moment? Lee – more bagpipes – We’re all friends but all of us do want to win – lee. – The only time there is any kind of competition is on song choice days. – big mike

“No matter what happens, we are all winners at this point, ” said Bowersox, seen as a favorite for the finale. “It is surreal. I never expected to come this far.”

“Our ultimate goal is to be able to make our own music albums. We are all really psyched to get to that point, ” she said.

“We’re all friends, ” said Lee Dewyze, 24, of Mount Prospect, Ill. “But as far as the show, at the end of the day, all of us do want to win. That’s why we’re here: We want that No. 1 spot … (but) we want it for ourselves, not because we don’t want anyone else to win.”

Top 4 Press Conference – Part 1

Reality Rocks is putting up the conference in nine installments, and part 1 focuses on discussion of next Tuesday’s theme: Movies Night, with return mentor Jamie Foxx. The four on the floor admitted that previous mentor Harry Connick Jr. will be a tough act to follow for Jamie, and that the cinematic theme will be a tough challenge for the contestants…but they all seemed eager to go to the movies.
