American Idol 2024 finalist Abi Carter declares in her new self-written winners single “

Before the American Idol 2024 finale on Sunday, (5/21), the Top 5 finalists released original songs via 19 Recordings/BMG Nashville, including from pop singer-songwriter, Abi Carter,

Hailing from Indio, California, 21-year-old Abi has a haunting voice and knack for songwriting. A born performer, the bold singer-songwriter wowed America with her theatrical and emotional performances week after week. On the anthemic “This Isn’t Over,” Abi’s breakout song written by Abi and Samuel Michael Shrieve, she tells a story about personal growth and becoming a stronger person, one who wishes to reach back in time and tell her younger self “This Isn’t Over.”

The piano-driven song is produced by Jon Hume.

Abi Earned a Platinum Ticket

Abi earned one of three Platinum Tickets from the judges when she auditioned in Santa Barbara, California, in front of Lionel Richie, Katy Perry and Luke Bryan. The special ticket allowed her to skip the Idol Arena round and go straight to Showstoppers.

The singer always took risks switching from familiar piano ballads like Billie Eilish’s “What Was I Made For?” to all out rock performances like “Welcome to the Black Parade,” by My Chemical Romance, “Bring Me to Life” by Evanescence and Elton John’s “Goodbye Yellow Brick Road.” \

A theatrical performance of “The Chain” by Fleetwood Mac and a Disney-princess-proud rendition of “Part of Your World” on Disney Night helped clinch Abi’s spot in the Top 3 and a chance to compete for the crown alongside Jack Blocker and Will Moseley.

After Disney night, Abi wrote on Instagram, “Every single one of you that have been supporting me on this journey has made me who I am today. I’ve continued to push myself to do things I never thought I could, and on live television at that.”
