An American Idol fan favorite and Tik Tok star, Jax is engaged!
The singer-songwriter had the thrilling opportunity to perform LIVE in New York City on New Year’s Rockin Eve 2023 hosted by Ryan Seacrest. Thrilling enough, but New Years 2003 got even better for Jax. She announced her engagement to boyfriend, Braverijah Gregg, a video director and photographer. He has worked extensively with Jax, including shooting her album art, publicity stills and music videos.
The big reveal came at the end of the East coast portion of the show at 1 am. Jax and her now fiance were standing next to co-host Liza Koshy and Kpop star J-Hope. Liza turns to Jax to gush, “You’ve got a lot to celebrate girl!”, at which point Jax holds up her left hand to show off the new ring! “Show us the candy!” Liza shouts, after which Jax’s new fiance gives her a kiss on the cheek. “That’s what we’re celebrating tonight,” adds Liza, “LOVE!”
Jax breakout hit “Victoria Secret” inspired young girls and women around the world
Earlier in the broadcast, Jax took to the the stage in Times Square to perform a medley of her songs “90’s Kids” and her SMASH viral hit, “Victoria’s Secret.” Speaking with her pal Seacrest after her performance, Jax could barely believe her incredible 2022. Just a few weeks ago, the singer-songwriter performed as part of the iHeartRadio Jingle Ball at Madison Square Garden in NYC. That, after her “Victoria’s Secret” song called out the insidious beauty industry which peddles body shaming to sell product. The song inspired millions of girls and young women around the world.
In her Instagram stories, Jax posted a few cute photos. “It’s official. We’re doing the damn thing!” Jax captioned a photo of the happy couple kissing.
And in another, Jax writes “The one time I decided to get a purple sparkle manicure for no reason,” as her fiance gives her a smooch while she flashes her hand.

Jax began her Tik Tok journey during the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic
When the Covid-19 pandemic struck in 2020, Jax turned to Tik Tok posting a humorous response to the pop gem “Stacy’s Mom” from “Stacy’s Mom’s Perspective” which exploded with nearly 9 million views in just a few months and follow-ups including “Update from Avril Lavigne & Sk8er Boi 18 years later.”
Before “Victoria’s Secret” came the singer’s heartwarming ballad “Like My Father” which has amassed over 140 million streams. Meanwhile, her nostalgia-fueled anthem “90s Kids” received over 1 million weekly streams for 21 consecutive weeks, which came after her label-debut single, the whimsical “Ring Pop.”
On American Idol season 14 in 2015, emotional piano-driven covers like “Bang Bang (My Baby Shot me Down) by Cher, and the Beatles “I Want to Hold Your Hand” made her a fan favorite. She finished the season in 3rd place.
