This isn’t good news. Olivia Rox, a major American idol 15 standout and contender, is in the hospital with the flue, according to her fellow Top 24 contestant, Amelia Eisenhauer. Amelia was eliminated from the competition by the judges last week.
American Idol airs tomorrow night (2/24) at 8/7c PM on FOX. However, the show is set to tape TODAY at 1 pm PST. Fortunately for Olivia, it’s highly likely that she will be one of the eight contestants the judges will advance to the Top 10 at the top of the show (Click here for all the details). Only the six eliminated contestants will be required to sing today for America’s vote and a chance to fill two wildcard spots.
The first LIVE show is set for Thursday (2/25) when the Top 10 is fully unveiled and required to take the stage for the first time. She’ll need to be able to be able to perform at that point, unless the producers come up with a work around–which I’m sure they would, because like I said, she’s a standout and one of the frontrunners at this point.
I’ve been hearing there is a bug going around and Olivia isn’t the only sice contestant.
So far, there has been no official comment or confirmation from American Idol.
