If you spend anytime listening to this 30+ minute Facebook live interview with Dalton Rapattoni, at least check out the acoustic performances of two new songs that start off the session. “Somewhere in America” and “Open Book” are from the singer’s forthcoming album Nobodys Home. And no, leaving out the apostrophe is not a typo. Dalton revealed that the album name was inspired by the Emily Dickinson poem “Nobody.”
The songs display the earnest sweetness Dalton brought to his American Idol performances during the shows final season in 2016, and are definitely worth a listen.
But beyond the music, the conversation with Lynsey Parker of Yahoo Music is worth checking out too. The American Idol season 15 singer shares his feelings about participating in what was supposed to be the final season of the show (ha!). The singer, who made it to 3rd place behind vocal powerhouses and La’Porsha Renae and Trent Harmon, shares his thoughtful insight on running what is for most, an incredibly intense. He also delivers a pretty sweet shoutout to Adam Lambert who he says gave him some pretty great advice in a DM.
Check out Dalton’s sweet, earnest new songs, Nobodys Home is scheduled to come out on September 22.
