Oops. Ryan Seacrest’s brag last night that American Idol was America’s favorite singing show might be a tad premature (although, the ratings for tonight’s The Voice will probably match Idol’s numbers rather than exceed it).
American Idol ratings fell from a 1.6 last week in the 18-49 demo to a 1.1. There will be an upward adjustment in the final ratings. So expect a 4/10ths of point drop in the end. Regardless, American Idol led the night for ABC.
The World of Dance finale ratings stayed steady with last week’s penultimate episode. WOD’s ratings weren’t gang busters. The show earned higher numbers last summer with America’s Got Talent as a lead in, but the ratings were steady all season. NBC is probably pleased.
UPDATE: American Idol rose 1/1oth of a point to a 1.2 rating in the final Sunday update.
