American Idol’s second nationwide live episode was down in the ratings Sunday by 2/10ths of a point compared to last week’s preliminary numbers, but it still led the night in the 18-49 demo.
American Idol garnered a 1.6 for ABC, off 2/10ths from the previous week’s preliminary 1.8 (which adjusted up to 1.9 in the final update). It was, one of only two shows to crack 1.0 for the night, along with ABC’s America’s Funniest Home Videos (1.1) in the 7 pm hour.
UPDATE: Time zone-adjusted fast national ratings have “American Idol at a 1.8 rating in adults 18-49, off only a tenth of point vs. last week, and 8.6 million viewers.
