American Idol 2023 winner Iam Tongi Announces Tour Dates – See the schedule
American Idol 2023 winner Iam Tongi announces his first post-Idol tour. The singer-songwriter plays the Beach-It Festival in Virginia Beach, Virginia on June 23 alongside 2021 winner Chayce Beckham and American Idol judge Luke Bryan. The Voice alum Ashland Craft will also play the three day country music festival.
On July 1, Iam heads to Kahuku, Hawaii to perform for a Ohana Day concert at Turtle Bay Resort, the venue where he played his Hometown concert. And then it’s back to Tacoma Washington for the Reggae all the Way festival. The singer will also play a slew of California venues, including Ventura Music Hall, the Troubadour and the California Mid State Fair.

The tour winds up in Auckland New Zealand for the Eden Festival on October 7. However, the announcement on social media states that more shows will be announced. Click the link in his Instagram bio for ticket information. He doesn’t have a website yet.

Iam is currently writing new music
Recently, Iam told American Songwriter that he’s written a lot of songs “some of them not so good,” he confesses. But he calls songwriting a process. “The more you do it…the better you get…the more creative thoughts you have.”
Iam added that he is working on a song. “It think it will be a cool song,” he said. “That’s all I can say!”
However, Iam did post a photo from inside the studio on his Instagram. “Back in the studio with some new music, Yessah @olivierbassil and @whoisclever.” Olivier Bassil has produced chart topping hip hop acts like Young Boy and Rod Wave. Clever is a songwriter and artist from Alabama.
Iam Tongi won American Idol season 21 back in May 2023. The singer became a fan favorite after his audition of “Monster” went viral. The singer dedicated the performance to his father who had passed away just months before. The American Idol Top 3 also included Christian singer, Megan Danielle as the runner up and country crooner Colin Stough as 2nd runner-up.
