A perk of winning the ABC version of American Idol is the opportunity for promotion across a bunch of Disney properties. Newly minted winner Maddie Poppe taped a performance last week for her winners single “Going Going Gone” which aired on ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live Tuesday night (May 29).
It’s been YEARS since the late night shows have been a stop on the American Idol winner’s promo tour. Good job Disney for making that a thing again!
Also look out for Maddie on the Disney Radio Music Awards airing June 23 on the Disney Channel. And of course, Maddie, her fellow Top 7 and American Idol 8 winner Kris Allen will kick off the American Idol Live! tour in July.
